FAQs about Timberland custom modular homes Auburn WA

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS about building a Timberland Home or new home construction, review our list of frequently asked questions for essential information. For further information, do not hesitate to contact one of our home building professionals.

Q: I really like your floor plans, but I want to make some modifications. How does that work?
A: We make it easy. Sit down with one of our professionals and share what's important to you. What do you want to change, move or add? Together, we'll design a home that includes your modifications.

Q: Can I customize my home or add upgrades?
A: Yes, we go out of our way to get you exactly the home you want. The process starts with our plans and meeting with a sales person at a Display Village, where we can exchange ideas and choose the features, finishes and fixtures that are just right for you.

Q: Do you build homes over basements or a two-story design?
A: Yes. The Timberland system works well for two-story homes. On-site, we use a crane to lift the upper floor into place. Any plan can be modified for a basement application. We have been doing this since 1973, so we've had lots of practice.

Q: Do you have land available?
A: We don't sell land. We specialize in building homes for people who already have their property.

Q: Are your homes backed by any kind of warranty?
A: We offer the best warranty in the business — a 15-year limited structural warranty. We have built over 2,600 homes and have earned an excellent reputation for standing behind our product.

Q: Can I finance one of your homes?
A: Yes, our homes qualify for all the same great programs that a site-built home does! We even have a list of approved lenders familiar with our contract terms, who can make this aspect of building a new home very easy to accomplish.

Q: I've never done something like this before. How do I get the necessary permits?
A: Timberland Homes provides the permit for the house we build through the State of Washington and provides engineered drawings for the foundation, which are needed to secure your site permit. Contact your local building department for details regarding the permits for site development.

Q: In what areas do you deliver and complete your homes?
A: We serve the entire West Coast including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California and British Columbia.

Q: Can I save money buying a Timberland Home?
A: Because our homes are built at our Auburn Construction Center, you receive the benefits of the economy of scale and proven relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. We also give you a guaranteed price, once we have agreed on a plan. We think you will find our homes to be highly competitive cost-wise, as well as saving you time and stress.

Q: How long does it take to build a Timberland Home?
A: In most cases, you can move into your new Timberland Home months earlier than a site-built home. While we're building your home at our construction facility, the site contractor is doing the foundation work and making any other property improvements – it's happening simultaneously.

Q: Will a Timberland Home appreciate like a site-built home?
A: Our homes appreciate as other site-built homes in the neighborhood. This provides our customers with an excellent building alternative and results in similar appreciation in value over the years.

Q: Can you design a custom home especially for me or my property?
A: Timberland Homes is a custom home builder. Because of that, you are able to create more comfort and convenience with your housing budget that you ever thought possible.
